Music Man Modern Classics er en hyllest til vintage-inspirerte originaltegninger. Elektronikken og all hardware er oppdatert for å møte den moderne gitaristens behov. Kroppene er av lette og resonante tresorter; Stingray-gitaren har en kropp i mahogni mens Cutlass har en kropp i or. Halsene er av lønn og fins med gripebrett både i rosewood og lønn. Kroppen er lakkert med en tynn, men hard, polyesterlakk mens halsen har en vintage-tintet satin-finish.
